Wear and Share
Wear and Share is a student-founded high school club dedicated to collecting gently used clothing from across the Union City and delivering it to communities in need around the world. Our mission is to give overlooked garments a second life while making a meaningful impact on the lives of others. By offering a simple and accessible way for Union City residents to contribute, we empower our community to create positive change—one donation at a time.
What We Do
The Wear and Share Club is dedicated to giving clothes a second life while supporting communities in need, both locally and abroad. We start by collecting gently used clothing from around Union City, where members and supporters come together to make a difference through donation drives.
Once collected, we partner with trusted non-profit organizations that help extend our reach beyond the local community. Through their established networks, these clothes are shipped internationally to people and families who need them most.
By connecting local generosity with global impact, the Wear and Share Club helps reduce waste, promote sustainability, and bring comfort to communities around the world. Together, we believe that a simple act—sharing what we no longer need—can make a meaningful difference.
How we do it!
All contributions and donations collected by Wear and Share are sent to families in Kamawornie, Bo, Makeni, and Freetown. With the help of our trusted partner, Develop Africa, your donations are first sent to Sierra Leone. Develop Africa has the resources and connections necessary to ensure that all donations are delivered safely and effectively to those in need. Wear and Share serves as a small branch of Develop Africa, collecting gently used clothes from the Union City.
